Damien Picard, MD, PhD

Senior Medical Director & Co-Founder

Damien Picard, MD, PhD, is co-founder of Vaderis Therapeutics & Senior Medical Director, bringing over 25 years of experience in life sciences. He successfully led the development strategy for engasertib in HHT from preclinical to proof-of-concept.

Damien previously served as a consultant in a multidisciplinary clinic specializing in vascular malformations. In addition to his clinical practice, he developed a wealth of experience in translational and clinical research, notably in rare diseases. Prior to Vaderis, he was responsible for the global development of several molecules through first-in-human and proof-of-concept studies at Novartis, Basel.

Damien holds a BS in economics, is a certified physician in both Dermatology and Clinical Immunology and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in immunology.  He is the author of multiple publications, including in journals such as Immunity, Science Translational Medicine and the New England Journal of Medicine.
